Beautiful Beaches
Just a few minutes north of where you will be staying is my favorite beach, Napili Bay. It is a beautiful white sand crescent shaped beach. The water is protected so it is warmer than open ocean. Also on that beach is the Seahouse Restaurant that has a great Happy Hour and yummy food.
Just past this bay is another called Kapalua Bay, very surreal and also rated in the top 10 beaches in the world by Conde Nast Magazine year after year for 19 years now.
Road To Hana
If you’ve never been here, the Road to Hana is a must!
You can take a tour or do it yourself. The tour guides are excellent and talk story making it more enjoyable. Because of the windy road the driver misses out because of concentrating on safety but if you do it yourself take your time. Take lots of snacks and drinks with you and enjoy the sights along the way. It’s not Hana that you’re going for. It’s the adventure on the way.
Hana itself is so small that you could almost miss it if you blink. There are waterfalls and all levels of hikes along the way. Lots of picture opportunities and you must hike up the left side of the pools when you get to Oheo Gulch to get to the waterfall. That is referred to many as The Bamboo Forest.
Hana is an all day adventure, leave early but you won’t get back until almost dark depending!
